It’s good to venture outside the box every now and again. We were honored to get a call from our friends over at the Fender Custom Shop asking us to be involved in a special project they were doing with Toyota for the big SEMA Show…..
This 2009 Toyota Matrix is about 45 years newer than anything we typically work with….but how often do you get an opportunity like this??? We had about one month to pull this off. Sean got right to work coming up with a design that brought some Fat Lucky’s flavor into a modern car that had been customized by Street Image.
Our friends over at Garrett Leather helped out with the nicest leather we’ve ever worked with…..SERIOUSLY!!! The Chatham Black and Pearlessence Silver Leathers are so soft and easy to work with. Check out how the light plays on the Silver.
Auto Custom Carpets helped provide our favorite carpet ever, the 1960s reproduction Trinidad, which was perfect for the “space-age” feel. The silver sparkle thread helped keep the silver theme throughout the interior. Topping it all off is custom Pinstriping by Dart and some vintage red-pearl drum wrap, we think it turned out great. It will be perfect for it’s big debut at the SEMA show. Special thanks to Fender Custom Shop, Toyota Motor Company, Garrett Leather, & Auto Custom Carpets for pushing us outside the box!
